Kevin Greenwood

Founder & CEO

“There are other companies that provide scrims, but there is not one company like Stage Tops. They use the best materials crafted by the best technicians, and he [Kevin] personally is always there to help”
– Neil Ryan, Neil Ryan Group

Kevin Greenwood’s impact on the live event industry is undeniable. If you’ve ever attended or watched a major music festival, sporting event, or any other major live event,  chances are you’ve seen his work. As the founder of Stage Tops USA, Kevin has spent decades shaping the industry with high-quality, custom-fabricated soft goods.

Starting as a roadie at 13 and later working as a touring DJ, Kevin’s career evolved from hands-on experience to entrepreneurial success. In the 1980s he landed in LA, where, after working for an awning company and then a small staging company, he saw an opening – making soft goods for the entertainment business. Using his industry experience, contacts, and “a lot of banging on doors” he established World Show International, rebranding to Stage Tops USA in 1996.

His expertise and dedication have led to partnerships with industry giants like Live Nation, Reed Rigging, and Atomic Designs. His soft goods have been featured at Super Bowls, Oscars, WWE, and Bonnaroo, along with many major stadium tours, festivals, trade shows, and film productions worldwide. However, he is just as proud of the smaller and local events he’s worked on.  “I service everybody in the industry, and I pride myself on standing by the customer 110 percent.”

Kevin is known not only for his top-tier materials and craftsmanship but also for his hands-on approach—personally assisting clients with installations, safety concerns, maintenance, and last-minute requests. Beyond his success, Kevin continues to innovate, embracing new technologies and learning directly from the riggers and installers who work with his products daily. “You want to hear from the hands-on people.”

Despite the scale of his accomplishments, Kevin remains humble. “None of this would be possible without the backing of my staff and our families. Without them, Stage Tops wouldn’t be what it is today.”

Arous "Ary" Maronyan

CAD & Graphic Designer

Woman with dark hair and light skin wearing a black dress and black and white necklace. She is seated at a desk in an office, in a black chair, with her hands on an Apple laptop. The walls behind her are beige and there are flowers on a table.

Ary began with World Show International in 1996, before it was rebranded to Stage Tops USA, being scouted straight out of college by Kevin Greenwood. She confessed, “I was not exactly sure what was involved in preparing design & production drawings for the sewing department, but curiosity overtook my fears and I agreed.”

Since then, she has excelled, helping design some of the entertainment world’s leading custom soft goods. She is now the head of the CAD and Graphics department. She compares custom soft goods to a custom-tailored suit; both requiring an artistic eye, strong design skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

She still loves the thrill of the job and learning new things with every project.
